die Villa, LGBT center
Logo design // PRINT DESIGN
The Türkis Rosa Lila Villa is the community center for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people in Vienna. It was created in 1982 from the squatters’ movement and today brings together a project for collective housing, a consulting and information center and a cafe-restaurant. The Türkis Rosa Lila Villa project represents a utopian counterpoint to the dominant mainstream concepts of heteronormativity, patriarchy and binary identity constructions.
I designed the logo for the whole house and project, pictured above, based on the shape of the actual building.

These are logos for the two resource centers housed in the Villa. The Türkis Rosa Tippp caters to gay and trans men and queers, while the Lila Tipp caters to lesbian and trans women and queers. The Turks Rosa Tippp was already using a very interesting image of a cow for their logo, which was more of a mascot. This led me to explore creating a pair of creatures.
