Portrait of Adria Chilcote

Content and audience are high on my list of priorities as a designer, followed closely by strong typography and clear hierarchy. I love making beautiful objects. I love organizing information, telling stories and communicating ideas effectively. A big part of what makes graphic design such a passion for me is my genuine love of and curiosity about my fellow human beings.

Over eight years of freelancing I’ve worked for a diverse range of clients in universities, cultural organizations, arts festivals, small businesses and independent artists and activists. I’ve worked in the United States, Germany, India and Spain making all manner of print design, logos, identity systems and websites.

After working in San Francisco full time at a boutique graphic design firm since early 2016 I am now relocating to Lincoln, Nebraska. I continue to be interested in freelance projects in support of independent publishers, non-profits, activists and artists.
